About Our Celebrity Dancer: Dr. Jen Klabunde

Dr. JenA Navy doctor’s daughter, Jen has lived in many different states but most of her younger years were spent in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. She met Clint, her husband of 19 years, in 11th grade. They both attended Penn Sate University and then she went on to Veterinary School at Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. They settled in Traverse City over six years ago. They own Northwood Animal Hospital in Grawn where Clint is the Hospital Administrator. They have three children that keep very busy with skiing and tennis. A dog, a cat, two sheep and a steer round out their family.

Jen currently serves as the president of the Northern Michigan Veterinary Medial Association. Jen loves to fly fish, compete in triathlons, boat and entertain. She is excited to focus all of her energy and passion for animals into representing No Unwanted Pets on the dance floor. She and her hospital have already donated money, time, medical care, food and supplies to the animals and families supported by this coalition of charities. Now she is thrilled to help them raise even more funds and community awareness.

About Our Professional Dancer: Danny Brizard

Danny BrizardDanny grew up dancing in and around Chicago, learning mostly street styles; popping, locking, and breakdance. He also has background in Swing, Latin and Ballroom dance styles. Travel and adventure took him to California and Colorado, but, he eventually landed in Traverse City 13 years ago. Danny has two children Jack (9) and Marielle (8) who keep him busy. When not with his kids or dancing, he volunteers with the local roller derby teams.
